All Trims of the 2018 Kia Rio will be Affordable
It’s not often that automakers craft compelling cars complete with the technology conveniences and comfort buyers want at price that won’t break the bank. But Kia has done it again with the 2018 Kia Rio sedan and five-door hatchback, which are both beauties at a bargain, starting at just $13,900.
The base LX trim isn’t the only affordable option for value-conscious consumers. In fact, every trim of the new 2018 Kia Rio is priced under $19,000.
With a sophisticated yet sporty exterior, this new Kia model comes in three trim levels, each with its own special features. The Rio’s LX sedan starts at $13,900 with the five-door hatchback at $14,200 featuring a six-speed manual transmission and five-inch touch screen with AM/FM/MP3/SiriusXM audio system.
The S trim, which starts at $16,100 for the sedan and $16,400 for the five-door hatchback, upgrades to a six-speed automatic with Sportmatic featuring wireless hands-free Bluetooth technology, steering-wheel-mounted cruise control buttons and remote keyless entry with a trunk opener and alarm.
EX steps it up with the UVO3 voice recognition infotainment system, a seven-inch color touch screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay’s smartphone integration and Autonomous Emergency Braking.
Combining fuel efficiency, innovative technology and everyday convenience, the new Rio is taking the 2017 model, making it a little longer, roomier and upgrading some of everyone’s favorite features.
“This fourth-generation Rio makes significant improvements over its predecessor in design, technology and passenger comfort, resulting in an even better value proposition, while raising the bar in the small-car segment,” Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning, KMA, said in a statement.
With a more spacious and modern interior featuring an improved instrument panel and upgraded interior materials, the Kia Rio 2018 took a comfortable cabin and renewed it, allowing 89.9 cubic feet of passenger space in the sedan, with the five-door hatchback at 90.5 cubic feet. Ample cargo room is also a perk, with the sedan’s 13.7 cubic feet and the hatchback’s 17.4 cubic feet.
According to Kia, the front seats were remodeled to a slimmer design with more cushions to enhance comfort. Improvements also came in the form re-profiled door trims and a reshaping of the dashboard.
